The "DS Series" is a door opening and closing safety device that can be utilized with control panels featuring an external operating handle (operating lever) for circuit breakers. It was developed in consideration of addressing the "mechanical interlock of doors" required by NFPA 79 (Electrical Safety Standard for Industrial Machinery). In control panels with hinged doors equipped with an external operating handle for circuit breakers, it mechanically prevents the power from being turned on while the door is open.
